Projects are generally procured on tendered percentages against well known pre set Schedules of Rates such as the National Schedule of Rates, National Housing Federation and City of Birmingham Schedules of Rates.
In most cases, projects are let on a long term basis, spanning many years, with intermittent reviews or retender/market testing. There is a growing incidence of Partnering and awards based on best value and quality criteria, often with minor regard to pricing levels.
